Do you tell Delta about mileage / pricing errors in your favor?
We all know that Delta IT sucks, especially in SkyMiles department. I reported numerous mistakes in my mileage postings in the past and some of the mistakes were actually in my favor -- but I try to be honest. And I can not count how many times I had to fight with phone agents to price my tickets or changes correctly.
Recently I decided that I went through enough pain and would not report errors in my favor until Delta fixes other issues on their side.
I am happy to report that some time ago I successfully applied unused e-ticket (valued over $1500) to two different international trips and completed both successfully. For some reason unused e-ticket remained as "OPEN" after it was applied the first time online. I even received some e-credits back from the second flight, because it was cheaper. I know that I intentionally exploited some glitch on Delta side, but with all pain I had in the past with Delta IT -- I have zero regrets. If someone from DL contacts me on this forum, I will be happy to provide details for investigation as long as I am promised not to be charged back -- I still want bugs to be fixed.
I had a similar experience with United long time ago when miles from award ticket were fully refunded by mistake after a complicated reissue. I was also mad at United IT at this time and decided to keep 140K United miles (but reported similar issues before).
Do you guys report Delta bugs in your favor or keep them to yourselves? How lucky were you?
