"Took" is not the same as "takes".
On any airline, with any partner: Typically the information transfer necessary for posting do not take place on anywhere close to a daily basis. But when YOUR activity occurs relative to when the occasional transfers happen will of course be random. So probably what happened is that at Alamo you completed your rental right before they were going to transfer the info to NW, while at Thrify you completed your rental right after they had done a transfer to NW. Each might only transfer every couple weeks and yet you could get these wildly different results solebly because of when you had your activity relative to when that car rental company did its last transfer.
Thus you cannot use a SINGLE occurrence at any rental car company as a guide to how long posting takes in general.
