Where do I see if the equipment has been changed? And is the risk in this that layout changes so we don't end up with the middle pair against the bulkhead.

Finally, would you chose seats 4E&F v's 11E&F on the surface both seem the same but any inside knowledge would be great.
The reason why floor sleeping is not allowed on BA is safety related: if there was sudden turbulence while you were all asleep your baby could end up hitting the ceiling at high speed, to be blunt about it. But supervised crawling would be fine, have some small toys to hand (make up a farm?!) and make sure the two of you are also happy: happy parents = happy baby, more than the other way around I would say. For equipment changes, the easiest thing to do is keep an eye on the seat map in Manage My Booking - that tends to change in step - and also if you are feeling a bit geeky, go to thebasource.com and look at the other 777s which run from LGW, the seat map area also shows recent flights. Then you'll recognise the how the cabins vary between the otherwise standard doors etc. As for row 4 versus 11, I'd personally prefer 4, it would also be a bit quieter than 11, but if the aircraft wasn't so full - in all cabins - you would be more likely to get an empty spare seat for row 11 since the forward cabin is more popular generally. No perfect answer on that one.
