BA knows that about 90 per cent of its passengers are one-time-in-a-yea travellers. About 90% of them will probably never set foot on a BA plane again. Is BA supposed to cultivate loyalty among? There is BAEC to catch the loyal crowd.
You think that generating future profits depend upon offering the newest seat or the most luxurious experience, but BA thinks, and di agree, that the way is to offer the right flights at the right time.
I didn't say that at all -- I said that the much, much, much larger number of premium passengers who start and end their journeys at LHR means BA has to do less than other airlines to attract premium pax --- and management seems to understand that.
