I believe that's close to the BA management view. You could argue B6 was able to develop a loyal following by giving more (legroom, free TV, snacks) even with a truly bad FFP, although sadly analysts and investors wanted them to increase margins by adding fees and shrinking legroom. SQ has been pretty good at being the/an airline people want to and aspire to fly with; EK a bit too with the A380 bar.
