Thanks for your report with its beautiful pictures, David. I've stayed in 3 of the 6 hotels you reviewed. I particularly agree with your assessment of the Nam Hai and would go even further. I found it quite unsafe to be going up and down stairs as the room design requires, particularly in the middle of the night. Further, we had a villa where the living room was a separate building. This required going out into the heat to cross over to it. We found we didn't make much use of it. It's a shame as I want very much to like the property. It's been some years, but food was good, the beach was beautiful, and transportation into Hoi An was easy. But they missed it in such a very basic area of design I doubt I will return.
