I use the ITA matrix powertools (referenced above) and route the booking to the AA Germany (Amedeus back-end) site. I've been able to book complex 8 segment itineraries starting in CMB with multiple booking classes and other airlines routing to the AA flight point. I've not be able to accomplish this by routing the transaction to the US AA.com site. The one small downside is the payment is made in Euros.
