Room temperature can of course be adjusted (within reason) on a room by room basis to meet the needs of a broad spectrum of customers. Generally speaking, they are going to standardize on one brand of bath products, sometimes for the whole property, sometimes for the entire chain. Obviously, if enough people felt as you do, they would change course. Clearly they haven't.

The reason I stay in luxury hotels has nothing whatsoever to do with the type of bath products that I have at home. Rather, I stay at luxury hotels because I don't have a home in the location that I'm visiting.
