This revenue based system is crucifying me planning on A class fares. An A class fare is for example 5k. That's less than 20k M&M miles when you account for taxes.
Previously this type of flight would result in about 35k miles. That's nearly a 50 per cent drop miles and the only way to get that would be to purchase an F fare costing 9,000.
I really think F and A should continue on the old system as this is a real penalty for me.
I can see the logic in the new system for cheap Y class fares but not in F where they should reward customers not upgrading or redeeming.IMO.
I for one would purchase all my F in LH were it not for the rev based system.
I thought about buying miles from SPG with the offer expiring yesterday but i can't guarantee to fly enough miles for the rest of the year now.
