I still have not applied as I realized I will not have the miles in time for my next trip anyway. So, I am going to do things the right way as much as I can.
My question--and this answer may be somewhere but I can't find it.
Why is it best to lower your credit limits on a card before you close it?
Should I also lower my limit on a card that I want to keep, but that has a really high limit that I will never come close to using?
