Have to chime in here for a second. NH bad in service and FA's? Yeah and the moon is made of cheese.
NH skies is lightyears ahead of UA in both departments. A bad FA on your flight? Possibly. But allowing for one, and knowing that the business class cabin is never served by fewer than several, I am having a hard time visualizing NH service as bad.
Their seats in business on the LAX route are weak at best, there is no debating that. The new seats on the JFK/LHR/FRA routes are the top of the bill however.
And before you cancel your F Class ticket, have a peek at this:

Even as a longtime fan and supporter of UA, I have no problem seeing the NH service as superior. I will continue to give the great majority of my revenue business to UA, but will also be pleased to have the Star Alliance make it possible to enjoy award tickets on airlines such as NH.
Best,
Mike
