What are your objectives from a ffp?
What do you expect status will do for you?

Can you chose airlines NYC/PHL to LAX or corporate travel policy in play?
Coach or business/first class?
OP can still credit their AA flights to AS if he/she is referring to their frequent trips from NYC to Asia (or any other international flight).
