I agree that a northwest hub or "focus city" would be welcome (especially for Trans-Pacific flights). SEA might be tough sledding due to AS and DL taking a majority of the gate space, though.
I agree. Despite its issues, I rather like ORD. Moving to MSP (or somewhere else in the Midwest) would cause a ton of headaches for AA.

I'd love AA to build a hub in the Pac Northwest, but the only realistic way that will happen is if they absorb AS, though I'm not sure such a deal would get DOJ clearance.
