its a ridiculous fee ($100) that was deemed invalid somewhere in Europe I think because there is no loss or cost to the airline...

After an hour of arguing, they promised to call me back later after "double-checking" for a fifth time- they didn't. When I called again a few hours later they said the fee would not be charged.
