1 You should use the flight number on your booking which I suspect is probably the AA one.
2 The ticket number will be in the Trip Confirmation email you received from AA after you made the booking.
In relation to your point about PNRs, is it possible that you're confusing the AA record locator and the equivalent BA PNR which will be different?
On the ba.com webpage I have one 6 letter code under My statement> recent transactions and a different 6 letter code under My past bookings. Both are called 'booking ref'.
