Call the airline anyway. If your connection is too tight for comfort due to a schedule change, they'll rebook you (if possible) at no additional cost. Best bet: do some research so you already know exactly which flight(s) you want. Presumably you want the same over-water segment, but get onto an earlier flight to ORD.
