The two things are not mutually exclusive in my books. :-) Separatism is not mainstream in Sardinia (yet and never I hope!)

Yes, a new lounge in the modern lounge concept, similar to LGW Galleries Club, is going to happen later this year in FCO. Like LGW it will have odd and interesting seating arrangements - unlike Cathay they aren't trying to get an identical look everywhere (thankfully).
That is good news. Although, sadly, I rarely fly BA on my way from and to Sardinia. Only AZ can get me there on one ticket (except for the summer months) and with a range of options when it comes to schedule.
