My bugbear with the HI at LIN is the shuttle bus does not start until 6.00am so flights 7:30am or afterwards are the first you can take. So if I am on an early flight I need to take a taxi and therefore I may as well of stayed another night in a better hotel downtown in Milan.
I've only stayed at the Novotel in Linate. The hotel is actually quite nice, but it's annoying that the half hourly shuttle stops working at 11 pm. I often arrive late on Friday to leave early on Saturday morning and I worry about potential delays that may lead to having to take an expensive taxi instead.
