As I decided to give BA a try after AirBerlin went bankrupt last year, my experiences on the last 5 rtn flights were less than stellar.
Unmotivated staff, sloppy service, partially inedible food, crappy amenities etc.
All the more I was surprised last week flying on BA31 to Hong Kong that the staff was charming and excellent ( all of them were between
40 and 60), the food really good - with the new concept the salad has improved dramatically, the soup was delicious and the main dish ( I
had some pasta ) was among the best airline food I had in ages. Together with the new amenity kit, the seat mattress,
the thin and the warm blanket, as well as the fluffy pillow the flight was a delight and I slept a full 8 hours. Exactly the same experience
on the flight back (BA32) on Sunday night. With all these improvements BA is definitely a good choice for flights to Asia and the Middle East.
