Since CLK opened, CX has been putting passengers who qualify for a night's transit accomodation at the Regal Airport hotel.

In the old Kai Tak days, there were a few options to choose from, but now, that's the only choice I'm afraid.

Where will you be flying in from and to? Most CX flights allow immediate through connection one way or another.. and if you decide to choose a flight that does not allow an immediate connection over a flight that does, CX will not pay for the overnight accomodation anymore.

Should you choose to stay in HK on your own accord, then the Airport hotel is not the best choice. As it is the only hotel in the airport areas, the room rates tend to be rather high even by HK standards. Then if you can spare the time... as I have done so even on an 8 hour transit, I'd rather take the train into Kowloon and stay at one of the hotels in Tsim Sha Tsui, and then return the next morning to the airport.

If you have checked luggage, you may check it all the way through to your final destination (as long as the connection is within 24 hours), and just take your bare essentials in your carry on to change at hotel etc.
