I understand we "want everything" but the T&C make it clear and I could only imagine what happens if 15 diamonds use the guarantee at the same hotel at the same time.

I don't understand why people expect blanket treatment just for them because "status". A hotel has a fixed number of rooms. It isn't like they can add another one

Reminds me of the joke about the guy who wants a room, and is told, "I'm sorry, sir, but we are fully booked and have no rooms available."
The man replies, "You mean to tell me that if Queen Elizabeth showed up you wouldn't find some way to accommodate her?" The hotel guy says, "Oh, well, if Queen Elizabeth arrived we'd definitely find a room for her." So the guest says, "Well she's not coming, so I'll take the room you were going to give her."
