Great stay at Prince Sakura Tower Tokyo

I stayed here for 7 nights with my wife and 2 kids from 20-27 Dec 2017, as I used Marriott Travel Packages redemption for Avios as well as 7 night cat 8 certificate. The location is very close to Shinagawa station, better than Marriott Tokyo. It makes it very easy to go out as Shinagawa station is a huge station in Tokyo.

We arrived at Prince Sakura Tower via Taxi from Haneda Airport, about 5000 Yen for all 4 of us. We were way too tired to catch the train to Shinagawa and with 2 small kids it is better to take the taxi.

We were given high floor room overlooking the garden. The room is very roomy for Japanese standards and easily fit my 5 year old son and my 2 year old daughter (in a cot). Definitely much bigger than say Marriott Tokyo and other Marriott chain hotels (maybe except Ritz Carlton).

The garden itself is worth visiting as it is beautiful, nested between other Prince Group hotels.

As Marriott Gold we received free breakfast for family of 4 daily in the executive lounge on ground floor. The food is adequate for our needs and I love the Japanese design of the hotel. Having said that during peak hours at around 9am the lounge can get crowded and you have to wait to get in ......

We also received late checkout as Marriott Gold. We left Prince Sakura to Narita Airport by limosine bus, which you can buy from hotel. We were originally thinking of taking NEX from Shinagawa but with 2 small kids and luggages we found the bus far easier as the bus pick up from the front of the hotel.

There are coin operated laundry nearby but takes about 13 minutes walk just behind the Takanawadai Station. To get there you will need to go via the garden and via the foyers of the Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa and towards the station. It is called Tajima Coin Laundry in Google Maps it is mainly used by the locals.

We were very happy with the hotel and will not hesitate to stay there again, and recommend it to others. Will stay here again next time I come to Tokyo.
