Do Ambassador fees count as 5x spend on the Chase IHG card?
I know that the cash portion of a Cash + Points booking counts for 5x points using the Chase IHG card.

I also know that outright point purchases do NOT count 5x.

What I can't find is any reference to whether ambassador fees--initial purchase or renewal--count at 1x or 5x. If 1x, I'll use another CC; if 5X, it would be worth using the Chase card to grab a few more elite qualifying points.

TIA, and apologies if I missed a reference to this somewhere.
