Some advice please re this cancellation. We were looked in Club on a 241 and only offered Economy on an AA flight via Philadelphia as a replacement. Phoned BA, but no alternative available. I cannot/will not fly economy due to a sticky blood condition that makes me vulnerable to dvt.
Have managed to book Virgin premium econ to F Lauderdale via JFK. Have to fly today as boarding cruise tomorrow.

Questions: can you dear experts point me towards all the right posts re compensation/refunds, please. And do I have to phone BA again to say I don’t want their replacement flight or can I just ignore the offer.

Nightmare trip so far - couldn’t book in to our London hotel for two hours yesterday because of fire. What will the third thing be - watch out for news of sinking cruise ships....
