Just as an additional data point, my membership renewal is in January but this will be the second year running that I have gotten an e-mail in mid-Jan telling me I will get my reward certificate via e-mail sometime in February and I have received the e-mail the last week of February. It'd be interesting to figure out what causes the discrepancy in certificate timing.
