Rail freight seems an odd one. Surely rail freight is either containerised (so coming from London Gateway, Felixstowe, Immingham, etc) or break bulk, and not headed to/from the Channel ports that specialise in Ro-Ro?

And wouldn't an HS2-HS1 link be far more easily achieved by linking Euston with St Pancras, a few hundred yards away?
