Changes to AA flights
As with many others I had some flight changes notified. Some of the connections became tight or inconvenient, so I rang American Airlines to change. I called the UK number and spoke to an American lady, who I presume was in the US. She was extremely helpful and made all the changes I asked for. Full marks to AA.
I'm very happy with the result (at least until American make more changes!). I have less stressful connections; less time in uncomfortably hot PHX in August; more time to enjoy the facilities in LAX; and I'm taking a day flight instead of a red eye from LAX to JFK. It means I can sleep (briefly) in a hotel bed at JFK instead of on a plane. I realise this last point may not be what others want but I had expiring hotel points that I was able to use, so it suited me.
