United doesn't care how many miles you have flown. Why should they? When there are entire message boards devoted to flying the most miles for the least amount of money, it becomes very apparent that many miles flown does not a good customer make. As a result we have UGS, which finally ties status to revenue.
OK, I've got the solution. 1MB -- for when you've spent 1 million bucks on UA tickets. You get UGS for life, hot nuts, Krug when in F, and the userid and password to login to inventory management and make all waitlists clear.
