Getting a version of the Airtrack scheme back on table seems to be much more feasible and deliverable. This could deliver a pretty easy single change journey at Clapham Junction or even maybe East Croydon between LGW and LHR, particularly if a stop was added to the Gatwick Express and the timetables co-ordinated.
Not forgetting Faringdon, of course, once the Elizabeth Line opens!
The reality is, there is little synergy between LHR and LGW, so few people transfer between the two. Also, LHR is not that far from Old Oak Common and a simple transfer to HS2 (Elizabeth Line Station?) is very much on the cards.
This project is nothing more than a pipe dream.
