Trying to use my United status, get United credit but ANA service (versus flying actual United flights to Singapore, which were/are terrible).
If the flight is a UA codeshare (booked using 016 ticket stock) then you will get PQS/PQM and PQD. When you are looking at the flights, the UA web site shows you the expected earnings for the flights. If you were to book directly with ANA, you would still get PQS and PQM but not PQD.
As far as selecting seats...I'm not sure, it's been a couple of years since I've booked ANA codeshares. In the past I could select seats by calling. Also, for an NRT to SFO flight, I was able to have the agent in the ANA lounge move me to an exit row seat since I was Star Gold at the time, but not sure if you could achieve that flying from the U.S.
