Regarding the CBP officer who wrote the email, a few questions for the benefit of future readers:
- Was it an officer in the immigration booth at the airport or did you walk over to the Global Entry office to find an officer to do it?
- Did you need to use the magic words 'flag demotion' or did the officer already understand what you needed and what she/he should write?
- Did the officer give you an idea of who the 'relevant person' was to demote the flag, or where they are located?
