We had planned to use da Nang as a base to explore the central coast and to stay around 9-10 days so time for Trip to Hue and then beach. Even though I have no status at the Hyatt I might stay there a few nights as prices for a suite with lounge access are the same as a base room at the sheraton. You are right prices are high for an opening offer when most facilities are not yet open. Also agree that it is probably geared towards big groups. Probably predominantly Chinese so they get cheap rates and those of us booking independently via spg get hit with high rates. Shame Sheraton tam ky left spg as well.
It's ok though, it has the best restaurant imo. It's ok for 1-2 nights. Then you should try the local hotels where you have private villas, and large private pools. Four seasons was local brand but now it became 4 four seasons. I was happy to stay there before the brand and it was cheap.
