As of about Friday of last week, when I try to book a reward hotel (through Spend Avios website link), the website goes into perpetual redirect mode, without getting to the prompt of where I enter my city and dates and such. It worked last Thursday and the preceding days before that.
Anyone else have this issue? Kind of annoying for such a large company to have technical issues over so many days. I've tried Chrome, IE, and Edge.
I have also been unable to book a hotel using Avios . Finally called them today and they said they know about the issue and it is affecting all of the US and Canada but dont have an ETA on the fix. They are experiencing the error on their back-end systems as well and cant book for me. Sounds odd. Hope its not a benefit they are quietly taking away...that would be sad. I collect a lot of BA Avios using the Chase credit card for my business spend and have found hotels the best use for them.
