When he called Thrifty, the agent said that she couldn't do anything over the phone to guarantee the price wouldn't change even with the flight info. She recommended that my husband go to the counter and explain the situation about changing to an earlier flight because of today's snow storm.

It worked! He is now on his way. Thanks Autoslash.
