Thought I'd let you know what the story is for lounge access at SFO - not many surprises, I think.

First Class customers will have access to the United First Class Lounge, which is located halfway along Pier G. Showers and all the other facilities are available.

Business Class, Star Gold, Gold Elite, Koru customers will have access to the United Red Carpet Club, located to the right after security. Each entrant will be issued with 2 complimentary drink chits. While there are no showers in this lounge, there are showers available for hire just prior to security.

Regarding the LAX transit facility for NZ1/2 passengers - NZ is working within US regulations to improve the experience as much as possible. A third immigration processing booth is to be installed late this month - which will significantly speed up processing time. Other improvements are also being investigated - watch this space!
