INTL Transfer Mumbai Standy Ticket
Hey guys, I am new to this forum and would very much appreciate your help:
I am planning on flying from Kuala Lumpur to Mumbai with Air Asia on a regular flight and then transfer to Lufthansa onward to Munich. For the Lufthansa flight I will be using a standby ticket as a non ref passenger. I do not want to leave the transit area, both flights will arrive at and depart from the same terminal. I know that I do not need a transit visa if I only transfer from intl to intl flights in the same terminal (I do not have checked luggage, so I do not have to pick it up and check it again, only hand luggage). However, this only seems to be true if you have a "confirmed" ticket. I can print out a ticket with a QR code and everything in advance but it most certainly will not have a seat assigned to me yet and it will probably say waitinglist on it. I am pretty sure I will get a seat on my flight to MUC but I am worried about the "confirmed ticket" part. Can I transfer in Mumbai without a transit visa or do I have to apply for one because I will be flying standby?
Thank you so much for your help!
