Someone more in the know would be able to clear this up, but I’m a little at odds with the fact some have said the ‘Gold greeting’ is still inconsistent.
In the past year or so (granted my travels are most LH and the crew on my routes is usually the more experienced type- I can’t remember the name, worldwide is it?)- I’d say on about the 18-19 flights I’ve had, I’ve probably been greeted personally 16-17 times. This paled in comparison to previous years where it would probably have been half that. I should also mention that much of this travel has been in Y. Perhaps they make more of an effort if I’m further back? As the CSD would usually be servicing the J cabin anyway
Others have mentioned recently that it is not a CSD or crew requirement but I’d be surprised if it hasn’t been mentioned as something the crew should proactively be doing, such has the increase in the greetings been for me.
