We stayed at the Hilton Malta for two night this past January. Hotel was very nice - up to date and clean - and the staff was friendly. On the way to check in one of the bell boys told us the Hilton was one of the top rated in the Hilton Brand, not sure if true but the staff seemed to have a good deal of pride in the hotel.

Our room was spacious yet more or less standard. Executive lounge was large and had a good selection each evening. Breakfast selection looked OK but we ate in the restaurant (Oceana) which was good, albeit a bit busy. Gym also appeared very solid. I did not work out there but checked it out. Gym was on par with some (smaller) health clubs I have been to.

Only negative I would have is the location - not so close to Mdina or Valletta. However we used the bus service a few times along with taxis and all worked out.
