Here's an unusual one:
Bought 2x Disney 4-day FL resident passes ($45/day) at the Epcot gates on Saturday. They didn't get 3x points, BUT sure enough a statement credit showed up for them. Not sure why I didn't get 3x points when it did credit for travel, but I'll take it.
That is strange. However, I would rather get the 3x points than the travel credit, because I'm sure I'll have enough travel charges to use the full credit eventually. Any purchase that pays 1x points rather than 3x has me losing 2x points forever.
