Can I go to a local Enterprise location to exchange the car?
Get a Sharpie and draw a 1 immediately in front of the 2. That gives you through the 12th. I can't tell you how many times I did that (or changed a 2 or a 5 into an 8) on our fleet vehicles when our fleet manager was behind on getting plates and we were short of rental cars at the counter.
If you really pushed them, you might be able to get them to bring a new car to you, but I think it'd be an uphill battle. You can try swapping it at Enterprise, but I'm not 100% sure that would work (it'd be interesting to know, so report back if it does).
