So recently I booked a trip for my GF by using me UA miles, the route is SAN-LAX-TPE-TXN. SAN-LAX is operated by United in Y class, LAX-TPE(BR 5), TPE-TXN(BR 770) is operated by EVA in J class.

The connecting time in TPE is only about 1 hour, and I noticed there is a high chance of delay for BR 5. After reviewing data on flightradar24, none of this flight from Feb. 19th to Mar. 2nd arrived on time, with an average delay of half an hour with exception of flight on Mar. 1st which it diverted to ANC and KIX(does anyone knows the reason behind that?).

Is it possible to ask EVA to arrange a person at the BR5 gate specifically for my GF to help her get to the gate for BR 770 ASAP? Since BR770 operates solely 3 times a week, not catching the flight will cause tremendous perplexity. And since my GF is a Chinese citizen, there's no way for her to leave the airport at all.

Also, I heard that EVA will check the credit card used for purchasing the flight ticket, does this policy applys to reward tickets? Since I'll only drive my GF to SAN, there's no way I can show my credit card to EVA personnel at LAX.
