You must have booked a Delta-coded flight on KLM, and the terms are pretty clear than any fare class V or higher will work. I think mondo is saying he booked a B or M class KLM-coded flight on KLM and they won't honor the GUC, despite the terms saying Y, B or M are eligible fare classes.
I stand corrected. Checked the original ticket and it is DL-marketed but KL operated. However, I will say that I have also heard from agents that KL coded flights need to be Y.
