I wonder about that. SQ installed corpse cupboards on some of their long haul aircraft (which gives a pretty good indication of how they might come down on the divert/don't divert decision in a medical emergency).

SQ's reputation is higher than UA's, among most frequent fliers, anyway.
Maybe for people who die in their sleep, or there just isn't a way to save them in time, massive heart attack, etc.
