I have not yet booked a domestic flight after the change to Amadeus, so I don't know how it works compared to the old. But I have always found JAL confirmation emails slightly lacking in information.
I think I never used anything else than a staffed counter TBH.. at least not with JAL.
But I don't even receive any confirmation mail, just a mail that the ticket was reserved and had to be paid within a certain time.
I wish I could receive a mail that said the ticket is confirmed and ready to go. It says "purchased" in the status box and a seat has been selected.
