This has happened to me twice now from the UK, the first time being a Ryanair flight from Luton. I'm not sure why they don't heat the cabin before boarding, but I can only assume it's to save money.

This might be a serious consideration when booking future flights out of the UK during winter months.....and I'd be interested to know if it's just a LCC phenomenon, or does it also happen on BA. Have you ever boarded a BA aircraft with an unheated cabin?
Everytime I fly with Easyjet from Luton, the cabin is always warm/too warm even when the the plane is parked on a stand for an early cold morning flight.
however, from legal prospective, there are no regulatory standards for cabin temperature.
