This is encouraging as I have always thought that hardly anybody ever succeeds in upgrading LAX/SFO-SIN either ways!
As R never ever seem to show up in searches, I assumed that 95% of pax in J were on purchased tickets and not upgrades.
I assume you had purchased W or higher and not L class.
