I've got a couple of thousand Virgin miles from East Coast trains that are practically useless to me. Should I ever fly Virgin, and I could use those to say select a better seat, it's a use for them and it takes them out of circulation as well.
In much the same position after ditching Virgin for BA/OW. Only reason that account is still open - after cashing out on LHR-YVR J rt for 2x pax using miles - is my three or so uses of Virgin trains each year!
