Hello all! We are flying from Newark to Munich for Oktoberfest. When we originally chose our seats. Preferred and More Legroom seats were showing as available. We originally chose the Preferred seats but now have decided we want the More Legroom seats. They currently show online as unavailable to book, however we have confirmed on other websites as well as by phone with Lufthansa that they are still available. The agent we spoke to said the $45 we already paid (3 of us $135 total) each way would not be refunded and we would have to pay the full amount of the cost and loose the 45$ each. Does that make sense? Shouldn't we just have to pay the difference? ($100-$45=$55 each) It is also strange that it no longer will allow us to do it online. Should we call and speak to another agent?
