So our Ex EU positioning BA870 left Heathrow safely, albeit an hour down. The unforeseen spanner was a closure of BUD just before the decent. So we diverted to VIE, waited out the closure, refuelled, de-iced and tried again. This time we made it. Just arrived at our hotel in BUD, a lot later than planned but happy to be able to pick up our long haul QR flight tomorrow. Was a great crew, which made the divert bearable!
