I fly EK mostly in F to African destinations and Europe. The 380 from MEL is much quieter but the cabin can be more crowded. The 777 connection from DXB to African destinations is a noisier aircraft but more private.
The 380 shower turns into a gimmick after first use and I have only ever used it once and probably not again.
I totally agree that it's the cabin service that makes the difference and its the same on all aircraft in the Emirates fleet - excellent.
